Project Background Project Objective & Scope
The Northumberland Strait is the body of water between Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. It is one of the most productive marine environments in the world, where a diversity of fish species provide a livelihood for hundreds of commercial fishers and their families.
An Ecosystem Overview Report is a technical document with the aim at providing integrated oceans management (IM) partners and stakeholders with relevant information on marine and coastal ecosystems, including the status and trends, an impact assessment and recommendations to management – based on the best science and knowledge available – in order to support IM planning and further decision-making
